About Dory
Dory is a Korean-American DJ and producer based in Setúbal, Portugal, whose sound moves through the deeper ,more hypnotic edges of melodic house, progressive and techno. Atmospheric and emotionally charged while firmly rooted in the dance floor, her sets build through purposeful pacing, driving rhythms, and carefully layered intensity, creating momentum that carries naturally from deeper territory into peak-time energy.
After more than a decade immersed in New York's club scene, including a long association with Cityfox and its warehouse and festival events, Dory relocated to Portugal, bringing with her a perspective shaped by years across underground music communities in the US and Europe. A resident of Listed Productions since the beginning, she has played across the collective’s events and BPM Festival stages, as well as its programming across New York, Miami, Chicago, and San Francisco.
She has performed at Amsterdam Dance Event, BPM Festival in Mexico and Portugal, Miami Music Week, Robot Heart at Burning Man, and clubs internationally, sharing lineups with artists including Adriatique,Patrice Bäumel, Oliver Koletzki, Sainte Vie, Manole Tough, Sasha & Digweed, Tim Green, Lee Burridge, Fur Coat, Anja Schneider, and Tim Engelhardt.
In her productions, Dory draws on the depth and hypnotic character of classic underground electronic music, reframing it through modern rhythm and spatial movement. Her music balances nostalgia with forward motion: driving, immersive, and emotional.
She also curates Onda Sonora, her monthly show on Proton Radio, bringing together a wide-ranging selection of electronic music connected by flow, character and storytelling.
